Jerry Zouantcha Founder, Ballerz Football Academy | Assistant Coach, American University The game has always been more than just performance. Jerry played Division I soccer at American University, where he helped lead the program to a conference championship, earned Team MVP honors, and received First Team recognition. But what stayed with him wasn’t just the results — it was the process behind them. Now serving as an assistant coach at American University, one of the top programs in the Patriot League, Jerry works daily within a high-performance environment where details matter and development is intentional. Three years ago, he founded Ballerz Football Academy with a simple belief: That players develop best when they are challenged with purpose, guided with clarity, and allowed to grow without fear. At Ballerz, his work focuses on helping players understand the game — not just play it. From technical detail to decision-making, every session is built to connect training to real moments on the field.

Jonah Fogel

Jonah brings a strong playing background and a passion for player development to Ballerz Football Academy. He served as club captain at Shattuck-St. Mary’s School U19, leading the team to back-to-back Round of 16 playoff appearances. At American University, he made 60 appearances, totaling 4,291 minutes, and captained the team during his senior year. He earned First Team All-Patriot League honors while helping lead the program to a Patriot League Regular Season Championship. With over five years of coaching experience, Jonah is dedicated to helping young players grow through a positive and challenging environment. He emphasizes simplicity in the game, encouraging players to make quick decisions and play with confidence. As a former fullback on both sides, he values technical efficiency, the ability to use both feet, and maintaining a high tempo in possession. Defensively, he brings composure, strong decision-making, and the ability to be aggressive when required. His approach to the game is rooted in constant analysis, always identifying areas to improve and opportunities to gain an advantage. Above all, he brings energy, passion, and a competitive mindset to every session, pushing players to enjoy the game while striving to perform at their best.

Dilane Zouantcha | Coach D

Coach D My name is Coach D. I grew up in the DMV area, where I developed my game playing for Laurel Lions and Bethesda Academy—two environments that helped shape me both as a player and a competitor. Those experiences led me to the Division I level at American University, where I recorded 10 goals and 7 assists, along with multiple Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week honors. I am currently playing professional soccer in Australia for Corio SC in State League Two, continuing to compete and grow at a high level. The reason I coach when I’m not playing is simple—I remember what it was like growing up without access to the resources, guidance, and opportunities that players have today. That drives me to give back. Coaching allows me to help guide the next generation the right way, giving them the tools, mindset, and support they need to chase their goals. For me, it’s bigger than soccer. It’s about impact. It’s about helping the next group of players believe in themselves and reach levels they once thought were out of reach—because at the end of the day, it’s not about us, it’s about the ones that come after us.

College Coach | Grassroots Development

Patryk Rojek

Patryk Rojek is an attacking player for American University Men’s Soccer, competing at the NCAA Division I level. A sophomore on the 2025 Patriot League Regular Season Championship team, he plays as a forward and attacking midfielder, bringing creativity, intelligence, and attacking quality to one of the top programs in the conference. Prior to his collegiate career, Patryk developed through Sockers FC Chicago in the MLS NEXT platform, one of the highest levels of youth soccer in the country. His background has shaped his technical ability, decision-making, and understanding of the game in advanced attacking areas. Patryk is passionate about working with grassroots-level players, focusing on building strong technical foundations and confidence on the ball. He brings energy, creativity, and a player-centered approach to every session, helping young athletes develop the skills and mindset needed to progress in the game.
